RICHMOND, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwired - Sept. 27, 2013) - DDS Wireless International Inc. (TSX:DD), a world leader in providing wireless data solutions for fleet management for more than 25 years, announced today that its Taxi business unit, Digital Dispatch, has signed a contract with Signature Cab of Hawaii for the deployment of 800 backseat passenger information monitors. These monitors support mobile commerce and media applications.
"I'm delighted with the progress of our strategy to penetrate the backseat of taxi cabs in North America", said Vari Ghai, CEO of DDS. "This is an important driver of growth of recurring revenue and the deployment of these units will bring us to a total of approximately 2,000 units deployed in the backseat by the end of fiscal 2013."
The Company further announced that its Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Secretary, Caroline Dunn, is leaving the Company at the end of her contract to pursue other opportunities. Ms. Dunn has been with DDS for over two years and will remain with the Company to complete the Q3 reporting cycle in early November.
