Leading provider of cloud-based talent management solutions honors four
customers for outstanding achievements
OTTAWA, Oct. 11, 2013 /CNW/ - Halogen Software (TSX: HGN) recognized
four top performers in talent management at its annual Bright Lights
awards ceremony, held during its Customer Conference in Henderson,
Nevada on September 23. Conference attendees took a break from the
conference sessions to recognize the outstanding achievements of
organizations that have implemented Halogen's talent management
solutions.
The winners of this year's awards were:
-
Dazzling Implementation: Community Care received this year's Dazzling Implementation award for
its rollout of multiple Halogen solutions. In 10 months Community Care
implemented the Halogen Job Description Builder™, Halogen eAppraisal™
and Halogen eLearning Manager™ modules for more than 1,000 employees,
across 17 sites in 11 counties. Branded 'USucceed', the new talent
management system has helped Community Care transition to a common
review period and create a culture where employees are highly invested
in talent management and overall organizational success.
-
Bright Bottom Line Award: UW Credit Union received the Bright Bottom Line award in recognition of
driving strong ROI from its implementation of Halogen solutions. As a
result of implementing the Halogen eAppraisal and Halogen
eCompensation™ modules, UW Credit Union has realized higher than
average customer satisfaction scores and consistent improvement in
year-over-year employee engagement scores. The credit union has also
reduced the time it takes for HR to manage appraisals from 120 to 20
hours and decreased managers' time doing administrative work by 60
percent.
-
Brilliant Corporate Culture Award: Kansas City Southern Railway won the Brilliant Corporate Culture award
by leveraging Halogen solutions to drive cultural change and
development within the organization. Using the Halogen Talent
Management Suite to support its talent goals, Kansas City Southern
Railway recruited and retained the necessary talent to meet future
requirements, has aligned training and development to increase employee
retention, and has built a strong roster of talent for future senior
leadership roles. The organization is focused on coaching and
development as part of its ongoing talent management strategy and
employees are taking accountability for their performance.
-
Strategic Vision Award: Black River Memorial Hospital is the first-time recipient of the
Strategic Vision award. This new award category recognizes a Halogen
customer who has achieved significant outcomes using Halogen's talent
management solutions to move its organization's strategic vision
forward. Black River Memorial Hospital was recognized for using Halogen
solutions to help reach its vision of achieving the highest quality
patient care. The hospital dramatically increased its scores for
patient perception of care, moving from the 70th percentile to the 95th
percentile. It also exceeded benchmarks for employee engagement,
scoring higher than the industry average, and increased its net
operating margin from below one percent in 2008 to 9.6 percent in 2011.
"Being recognized with the Bright Bottom Line Award reflects the
commitment UW Credit Union has in creating a culture of high
performance and high engagement," said Kate Adametz Jenkins, Talent
Management Consultant III. "Halogen is the super glue that aligns our
performance management practices across the organization and as a
result, it helps support overall credit union effectiveness and
efficiency."

Raising Funds for the International Red Cross
While there was a time for recognition of accomplishments, Halogen also
continued its strong tradition of giving back. At the Halogen Customer
Conference this year, customers had the opportunity to test their
knowledge during the Be Brilliant HR Trivia Challenge to raise funds
for the International Red Cross. For each person who played this fun
interactive game, Halogen made a donation to the International Red
Cross.
