Tyler Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: TYL) announced today that it has been
named to the Forbes list of the “100 Best Small Companies in America.”
Tyler ranks No. 25 on the list, which is 11 spots higher than Tyler’s
ranking last year. Tyler has appeared on the Forbes list seven times
since 2004. The full list is available on the Forbes website.
To qualify as a “100 Best Small Companies” candidate, a company must
have revenues of $5 million to $1 billion, be publicly traded for at
least a year, and have a share price above $5. The criteria used to
judge the candidates include return on equity, sustained sales and
earnings growth in the past 12 months and over five years, and stock
performance versus each company’s peer group, among other measures.
“We are honored to be ranked in the top 25 by Forbes as one of the best
small companies in America,” said John S. Marr Jr., president and chief
executive officer of Tyler Technologies. “This year’s ranking, our
highest ever on the Forbes list, reflects the value we create for
investors through consistent revenue growth and solid financial
performance that is achieved largely by being a trusted, long-term
business partner for our local government and school clients.”
Tyler Technologies is the largest company exclusively focused on public
sector software and services, with more than 11,000 local government
offices in its client base.
