TORONTO, Oct. 22, 2013 /CNW/ - TD Asset Management Inc. (TDAM), the
manager of TD Mutual Funds, today announced a portfolio adviser change
for the TD International Growth Fund (the "Fund").
Effective on or about November 12, 2013, TDAM will become the portfolio
adviser of the Fund, replacing Echo Point Investment Management. The
Fund will be managed by Charles Edwardes-Ker, Vice President and
Director, TDAM. Charles brings extensive industry experience to the
management of this Fund, with over 25 years in equity investing. He
currently leads the active international equity team and is the lead
manager of the TD Strategic Yield Fund.
The investment objective of the Fund will not change, however the
approach to managing the Fund will change to reflect the proprietary
research the fund manager will use to identify investment opportunities
in high-quality companies.
"By bringing the investment management of the Fund in-house, investors
have the opportunity to benefit from the considerable experience and
expertise that Charles Edwardes-Ker has in equity markets," said Paul
Orlander, President, TD Mutual Funds.
"We would like to thank Echo Point for the years in which they managed
this Fund and wish them ongoing success," added Orlander.
