EPIX Advances Keary Hanan to Senior Vice President, Digital Programming and Production

Premium entertainment network EPIX, is pleased to announce today that Keary Hanan has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Digital Programming and Production from Vice President, Executive Managing Editor. In this new position, Hanan will guide overall digital strategy at the network while overseeing implementation and day-to-day operations. She will continue to be responsible for delivering an engaging digital presence for the network utilizing content from EPIX’s originals and from studio partners Paramount, Lionsgate and MGM. In addition, Hanan will serve as the lead in building an active online community for the network through EPIX’s social platforms. For the past five years Hanan has been a driving force in the inception and launch of EPIX on all new platforms including online at EPIX.com, and EPIX apps on devices including PS3, Xbox, Roku, iPhones, iPads, Android phones and tablets, among others. Hanan is based in New York City and will continue to report to Emil Rensing, Chief Digital Officer.

Hanan came to EPIX as an accomplished editor in the media industry with stints at TV Guide, Extra and Inside Edition. She previously was Executive Managing Editor at TV Guide where she was responsible for overseeing content decisions across all platforms, for daily programming, Breaking News Specials, and serving as the primary liaison for Ad Sales & Marketing. Prior to TV Guide, Hanan was Managing Editor at Extra where she assigned and directed all stories produced out of the New York Bureau. Before Extra, Hanan worked in multiple capacities at King World Productions, including Evening Assignment Editor for Inside Edition. She began her career at 20th Television as a production assistant working on the popular show A Current Affair.

Hanan has garnered multiple awards on behalf of EPIX during her tenure, including the Social TV Summit “Best Connected” TV award, 2011 PromaxBDA Design Awards finalist for “Interactive Media, Network Website” and most recently, personally being named a CableFAX finalist for “Best Web Content Director.”
