(Nasdaq:KTOS) announced today that it has received a contract award valued in excess of $2.4 million from the U.S. Department of Education (ED) to advance the development and implementation of adult Career Pathway systems at the state and local level. This award builds upon the work that Kratos has implemented over the last four years to advance Career Pathways nationally.
Supported by the U.S. Departments of ED, Health and Human Services and the Department of Labor (DOL), Career Pathways is a workforce development strategy that seeks to align agency-supported services to assist individuals in achieving success in postsecondary education, training and employment. The work builds on the DOL's Career Pathways Technical Assistance Initiative as well as ED's Office of Vocational and Adult Education Policy to Performance project, which was led by Kratos. As part of this initiative, Kratos will deliver high-quality resources and technical support customized to the unique social and economic environments of each state.
