WHO: Amazon Studios launched in 2010 as a new way to develop feature films and episodic series—one that's open to great ideas from creators and audiences around the world. Since launch, more than 19,000 movie scripts and 5,000 series projects have been submitted.

WHAT: Amazon Studios will celebrate the premiere of its first original series “Alpha House” and “Betas” at a launch party being held at Boulevard3 in Hollywood.

“Alpha House”

“Alpha House” is a political comedy from the mind of Academy Award nominee and Pulitzer-Prize winner Gary Trudeau (“Doonesbury”, “Tanner ’88”) that follows four Senators who live together in a rented house in Washington DC.

“Betas”

“Betas” is a comedy set in the land of Silicon Valley start-ups where the right algorithm can make you king. The show follows four follows four friends as they attempt to strike it rich with a new mobile social networking app
