MONTREAL, Nov. 14, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - National Bank will donate $50,000
to the Canadian Red Cross to support their efforts in helping the
victims of Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines.
Typhoon Haiyan, which ripped through the country last weekend, is
reported to have killed thousands of people and displaced hundreds of
thousands more. National Bank believes that the best way to help the
affected population is to support the Canadian Red Cross's concerted
effort.
The Bank is accepting donations from the public in all its branches
across Canada. Cheques and donations should be made out to the Canadian
Red Cross, Typhoon Haiyan.
The Red Cross will issue a tax receipt for any donation of $20 or more.
All donations collected through National Bank branches will be remitted
to the Red Cross and used to provide immediate assistance to the
victims.
