ADM Donations to Aid in Tornado, Typhoon Relief

ADM

Archer Daniels Midland Company (NYSE: ADM) announced today two $50,000 donations to the American Red Cross to help provide disaster relief to those affected by last weekend’s tornadoes in the U.S. Midwest and the recent typhoon in the Philippines.

The company is also matching all employee contributions of $25 or more to the American Red Cross.

“We’re based in the Midwest and operate in many communities across the region. So, last weekend’s tornadoes affected our colleagues, customers and neighbors. We want to do our part to help get everyone back on their feet,” said Victoria Podesta, ADM vice president and chief communications officer. “And as a global company with a presence in more than 75 countries, we want to also help our neighbors overseas in their efforts to rebuild the Philippines’ communities devastated by Typhoon Haiyan.”

The donations were given through ADM Cares. ADM Cares is a social investment program that directs funds to initiatives and organizations that drive meaningful social, economic and environmental progress worldwide. The program comprises three distinct focus areas: supporting the responsible development of agriculture, improving the quality of life in ADM communities and fostering employee giving and volunteer activities.
