GovDelivery Expands Washington, DC Presence as Client Demand Accelerates

Digital Communications Leader Increases GovDelivery East Office Space by Over 60%

WASHINGTON, Nov. 20, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- GovDelivery, the leading provider of cloud-based public sector communication solutions, announced today the expansion of GovDelivery East, its North American east coast center. With every federal executive department now using GovDelivery for digital communications, the company is moving into significantly bigger office space in the Washington, DC area. The additional space accommodates GovDelivery's continued investment in client-facing staff and its GovLoop division, which runs the largest knowledge network connecting more than 100,000 government workers on govloop.com. This move follows the expansion of GovDelivery Central, the company's offices in Saint Paul, MN.

"We saw unprecedented demand for our solutions from across the public sector in 2013 as agencies invested in communications as a key lever for improving service delivery and mission results," said Scott Burns, co-founder and CEO of GovDelivery. "More importantly, our clients are reaching more people than ever before, allowing them to drive utilization of online services, behavior change, program awareness and other critical outcomes."

GovDelivery provides a massively scalable digital communications ecosystem currently in use at more than 1,000 government organizations globally. GovDelivery helps those agencies reach more people, automate communications, save money and improve program results. Public sector entities from all levels of government achieve these objectives by using the platform to encourage residents and stakeholders to sign up for and receive digital updates by email, social media, and text message on specific topics. From road closures to health and safety news to local government service updates, stakeholders can opt to receive the messages that matter most to them.

As a further indicator of the interest in improved communications in federal government, GovDelivery has seen record demand for its annual Federal Digital Communications Event, which convenes communications, technology, and program leaders across federal government. The event, titled "The Power of the Message," will be held on Monday, December 9, and has more than 850 federal employees registered.
