The New York Times today unveiled “The New York Times Minute,” a
video news report, released three times every weekday. Each one-minute
segment will summarize three important stories of the moment, including
breaking news and major topics of interest during the day. Microsoft
Corp. is the official launch sponsor.
The New York Times Minute videos will publish at 6am, noon and 6pm ET on
NYTimes.com and on The New York Times Minute blog at NYTimes.com/minute.
In between episodes, the most current segment will be updated as news
develops for up to date reporting. Created by a dedicated team of
producers working in collaboration with the desks across the newsroom,
The New York Times Minute videos will reflect the news judgment of The
Times.
“Video is a fast growing and important part of our news report,” said
Jill Abramson, executive editor, The New York Times. “The New York Times
Minute series is a natural extension of our journalism that allows our
viewers a quick and useful way to keep up with the news.”
