ADM

Archer Daniels Midland Company (NYSE: ADM) today announced an additional $50,000 donation to Living Lands & Waters to celebrate Chad Pregracke being named CNN’s 2013 Hero of the Year.

“We’ve partnered with Chad for many years and are proud to recognize his honor and support his continued efforts to promote the health and vitality of the nation’s inland waterways,” said Jeff Becker, vice president, operations for ADM’s Agricultural Services business and a member of the board of directors of Living Lands & Waters. “Since 2004, ADM has donated more than $1.5 million to Living Lands & Waters, and each year some 350 ADM employees from 55 ADM facilities participate in the organization’s river clean up events.”

The donation was given through ADM Cares. ADM Cares is a social investment program that directs funds to initiatives and organizations that drive meaningful social, economic and environmental progress worldwide. The program comprises three distinct focus areas: supporting the responsible development of agriculture, improving the quality of life in ADM communities and fostering employee giving and volunteer activities.
