Innovative AVT Built System for Farmer's Fridge Receives National Media Attention

Kiosk utilizes creative methods to capture part of the $26.7 billion organic food market

CORONA, Calif., Nov. 25, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- AVT, Inc. (OTC Markets: AVTC) (www.autoretail.com), a leader in automated retailing systems, micro-stores and kiosks, announced that a system they built for a client has received massive media attention for its innovation and creative design.

Farmer's Fridge is the name of a new system AVT built for Luke Sanders, who is now making waves throughout Chicago by combining the convenience of a self-service kiosk with quinoa and other healthy salads.

The salads are packaged in containers that look like Mason jars, but are slightly shorter so forks reach the bottom. To purchase a salad or other snack, which are made fresh daily, customers navigate an interactive touch screen, and select a base salad, add a protein, snacks and drinks, and pay with a credit card.

"AVT specializes in building custom designed systems like Farmer's Fridge," said Shannon Illingworth, Founder and Chairman of AVT, Inc. "Luke had a great idea, and our team brought his dream to life."

Sanders said that he is amazed by the response and how customers come from all walks of life. "We have construction workers, we have office workers, there is no single demographic," he told WGN-TV news.

Farmer's Fridge plans on adding several additional machines over the next few months.
