The results of the test, commissioned by Carbonite and conducted by The Tolly Group, compare the backup and restore speeds of Carbonite Server backup, Mozy Pro, CrashPlan Pro and SOS Online Backup.

In order to test Carbonite Server backup against Mozy Pro, CrashPlan Pro and SOS Online Backup, The Tolly Group ran tests using a 54.6GB dataset that included multimedia, office documents, compressed archives, web server data, and system files and applications. Carbonite Server backed up and restored the data faster than all other vendors tested. Carbonite's speed advantage in the backup tests ranged from 2.4 to 12.5 times faster, and restore speeds were 3.1 to 29 times faster than competitors.
