VZ, VOD

NEW YORK, Dec. 3, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --

WHO:

Verizon Wireless, operator of the nation's largest 4G LTE network and largest, most reliable 3G network

WHAT:

Verizon Wireless recently activated a new site in Oneida County and added 4G LTE technology to two sites in Herkimer County, expanding coverage on the high-speed data network it launched locally in December 2011.

The new site in Camden will enhance coverage and capacity along Rt. 69. The new 4G LTE sites will bring that high-speed wireless technology to Old Forge and Richfield Springs.

BACKGROUND:

Nearly three years after its launch, the Verizon 4G LTE network is available to more than 300 million people in more than 500 markets across the U.S, representing more than 99 percent of our 3G network.

The company has invested more than $65 million year to date to enhance and expand its network across Upstate New York.
