T.CM

TORONTO, Dec. 4, 2013 /CNW/ - CIBC (CM: TSX) (CM: NYSE) is pleased to announce that Christina Kramer, Executive Vice President, Retail Distribution and Channel Strategy, CIBC, has been named a recipient of Women's Executive Network's (WXN) 2013 Canada's Most Powerful Women: Top 100 Award.

"We are very proud of Christina's leadership and her many accomplishments both within and outside of CIBC," said Gerry McCaughey, President and Chief Executive Officer, CIBC. "She is a committed mentor, an advocate for women, and author of positive change in all aspects of her career and personal endeavours."

This is Christina's third time receiving the Top 100 Award, which celebrates and highlights the achievements of women across the country in the private, public and not-for-profit sectors. Winners are selected based on their strategic vision and leadership, their organization's financial performance, and their commitment to their communities.

Previous CIBC executives to be honoured by Canada's Most Powerful Women: Top 100 Award include Laura Dottori-Attanasio, Senior Executive Vice-President, Chief Risk Officer, Cheryl Longo, Executive Vice-President, Card Products and Jackie Moss, Executive Vice-President, Human Resources.

"The 2013 Top 100 Winners are a testament to the broad range of talent and leadership found in Canada and we believe that by recognizing and sharing the accomplishments of these women, we are encouraging the next generation to reach higher so that one day there will be no ceiling, just possibility," said Pamela Jeffery, WXN Founder.

The 100 honourees are chosen by an independent advisory board under the leadership of The Women's Executive Network and will be honoured at a dinner tonight in Toronto. A complete list of recipients can be found on the Women's Executive Network website.
