CSP Inc. Announces Key Executive Management Team Appointments

BILLERICA, Mass., Dec. 12, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- CSP Inc. (Nasdaq:CSPI), a provider of IT solutions, systems integration services and dense cluster computing systems, today announced the appointment of two key executives to the organization.

Michele Merrell has joined the organization as the Vice President, Global Marketing & Communications across all enterprises including CSP Inc., and its subsidiaries Modcomp, Multi Computer Division, and the company's recently acquired subsidiary, Myricom.

In this role, Merrell will have overarching responsibility to lead branding, advertising, public relations, media relations, social media, reputation management, internal and external communications, website development, market development funds and vendor/supplier-related programs, customer engagement and demand generation programs.

Most recently, Merrell was the Senior Director, Global Marketing and Communications for Brightstar Corp., a $6.8 billion global distribution, manufacturing and supply chain solutions company in the mobile telecommunications industry. She also has held Vice President and various senior management roles at U.S. Cellular, Tyco International, BellSouth Cellular and Voiceglo. In 2012, Michele was distinguished as one of South Florida's Business Women of Influence by the South Florida Business Journal, and in 2013 also was named by Diversity Journal as one of their senior-level "Executive Women to Watch" award winners. She has won numerous awards for her business and marketing communications acumen. She is an active participant on local and national boards, as well as within various telecommunications and technology industry associations, and is the North America President for the Global Telecom Women's Network.

Additionally, CSP Inc. has appointed Frank Puetz as the General Manager of its Modcomp subsidiary in Germany. In this role, Puetz will have responsibility for the overall management of the Modcomp organization including sales, finance, operations, customer and vendor management, as well as new business development. He has 25 years of experience in direct and indirect sales, reseller and vendor management and distribution.  

Prior to joining Modcomp, Puetz was the Sales Manager, Central and Eastern Europe for AVID Technology in Munich. He also has held numerous senior management roles including Senior Regional Director at Pillar Data Systems, District Manager Commercial for EMC Deutschland, as well as positions at Nortel Networks and BayNetworks. He is based in Modcomp's Cologne, Germany office.
