Ethan Allen’s transformation from American furniture icon to
international home fashion brand continues with grand openings of
flagship Design Centers in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and Bucharest, Romania.
Of the company’s nearly 300 Design Centers, nearly a third of them are
now located outside the United States.
“Fashion is an international language,” said Ethan Allen CEO Farooq
Kathwari. “Our design influences come from all over the world, and we
are pleased to share them all over the world.”
Housed in a renovated villa, Ethan Allen’s new Jeddah Design Center
features marble floors, elaborate ironwork, and Palladian windows. His
Royal Highness Prince Mansour Bin Muqrin Bin Abdulaziz, a partner in the
new Design Center, extended the invitations to the private grand opening
gala, describing the Design Center as "Jeddah's new, exclusive home
fashion destination."
In Bucharest, Ethan Allen has partnered with Romanian style-setter Diana
Sucu and her husband, entrepreneur Dan Sucu, to create a spectacular
showcase of style. Clad in crystal, granite, and glass, the new
Bucharest Design Center is a glittering new shopping destination in the
Romanian capital.
“Wherever we go,” said Mr. Kathwari, “we come not as visitors but as
neighbors, opening our doors to what we hope will become many lifelong
friends.”
Jeddah is Ethan Allen's fifth location in the Middle East. Bucharest is
the company's third location in Europe. The company also recently opened
Design Centers in Amman, Jordan, and Seoul, South Korea. Coming soon are
three new locations in China.
