What:
Operation Once in a Lifetime, a non-profit created to make the dreams of U.S. soldiers come true, will visit the NASDAQ MarketSite in Times Square.
In honor of the occasion, Sgt. Patrick M. Sowers, National President will ring the Opening Bell. Sgt. Patrick M. Sowers will be joined by Captain Jeremy Linn, an active duty soldier suffering from Terminal Gastric Cancer whose wish will be granted by Operation Once in a Lifetime at the bell ringing.
Operation Once in a Lifetime will also be unveiling its rendering of the Veterans Community Recreation and Rehabilitation Center (V-Rex). This Multimillion dollar facility will focus on Warrior Game type Recreational Therapy for combat wounded soldiers and veterans, such as wheelchair basketball, seated volleyball, archery, rock climbing, swimming, tennis and more. The V-Rex will also feature some once in a lifetime recreation therapies that most wounded soldiers never get the privilege to use, such as a indoor wind tunnel and a 30 foot deep pool that will train wounded soldiers to scuba dive. Many of these wounded soldiers will be taught and mentored by former and active duty Special Forces Soldiers and Navy Seals.
