TORONTO, Jan. 9, 2014 /CNW/ - Let the 2014 award season begin! CTV takes viewers past the red velvet rope for THE 71ST ANNUAL GOLDEN GLOBE® AWARDS. Tina Fey and Amy Poehler are back and ready to rock as co-hosts of the star-studded celebration of television and film, airing live across the country Sunday, Jan. 12 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on CTV (visit CTV.ca to confirm local listings).

Leading up to the glitz and gold, CTV Two and E! deliver all the red carpet glamour, including the A-list arrivals, fashion hits and misses, and interviews with the night's most sought-after stars. The party begins with the official red carpet arrivals at 7 p.m. ET as 2014 GOLDEN GLOBE ARRIVALS SPECIAL airs live on CTV Two (visit CTV.ca/Two to confirm local listings). On Sunday, viewers can also catch an all-new episode of THE MENTALIST in a special timeslot on CTV at 7 p.m. ET (8 p.m. AT; 10 p.m. CT/PT; 9 p.m. MT).

Meanwhile on E!, the pre-show hype begins with COUNTDOWN TO THE RED CARPET: THE 2014 GOLDEN GLOBE AWARDS at 4 p.m. ET, followed by E!'s leading red carpet show LIVE FROM THE RED CARPET: THE 2014 GOLDEN GLOBE AWARDS at 6 p.m. ET. As announced this week, celebrity presenters at this year's hottest dinner party include THE FOLLOWING's Kevin Bacon, LATE NIGHT's Jimmy Fallon, Robert Downey Jr., Jennifer Lawrence, Reese Witherspoon, Colin Farrell, Mila Kunis, Uma Thurman, Julie Bowen, and Laura Dern. Plus, Academy Award®-winner Woody Allen receives the Cecil B. DeMille Award for his outstanding contribution to the entertainment industry with his longtime friend and muse, Diane Keaton accepting the award on his behalf.
