World Wide Technology, Inc. (WWT), a market-leading systems integrator
that provides innovative technology and supply chain solutions, today
announced that it ranked
71st on Forbes annual list
of America’s Largest Private Companies. For the third consecutive year,
WWT has continued its forward momentum among the 224 ranked businesses
on the prestigious list, moving up 22 notches from 93rd in 2012. The
company ranked 140th on the Forbes list in 2011.
Forbes annual list of America’s Largest Private Companies features only
private American businesses with revenue greater than $2 billion at the
end of their most recent fiscal year. WWT captured the No. 71 spot on
this year’s list with sales of $5.04 billion largely due to the
company’s ability to help its global customer base evaluate, architect
and implement advanced technologies such as data center, virtualization,
cloud, mobility, security and collaboration. Other leading firms among
the top 100 include Dell, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Ernst & Young,
Enterprise, U.S. Foods, Aramark and Hilton Worldwide.
“WWT is proud to once again be recognized by Forbes and be counted among
America’s premier private companies,” said Bob Olwig, vice president of
business strategy and innovation with WWT. “Our upward trajectory and
consistent growth demonstrates the results of our commitment to customer
satisfaction, strategic innovation, continued investment in our
employees and the core values that our business was founded on.”
Companies included on the Forbes 2013 list have combined revenues of
$1.61 trillion, up 8 percent from last year. This year’s list excludes
foreign companies as well as those that don't pay income tax, mutually
owned companies, cooperatives, companies with fewer than 100 employees
and companies that are more than 50 percent owned by another public,
private or foreign company. The complete list is available at www.forbes.com.
