WINNIPEG, Feb. 10, 2014 /CNW/ - Pollard Banknote Limited (TSX: PBL) is pleased to introduce its latest interactive
innovation—Instants Plus™—launched in conjunction with the Michigan
Lottery's recently rebranded website on January 21, 2014.
Instants Plus™ features are integrated into the Michigan Lottery's
redesigned website and leverage current technology to give users access
to instant ticket information in a convenient, new, user-friendly
fashion. This ground-breaking educational tool allows visitors to view
the Lottery's complete instant ticket portfolio online and sort by
price point, total amount of prizes remaining, top prize amount, total
amount or number of top prizes remaining, game themes, and more.
Instants Plus™ users also have the opportunity to view interactive
step-by-step product demonstrations, search nearby retailers for
specific games, enlarge ticket art to examine in greater detail, and
receive customized game suggestions based on user-driven search
criteria and a built-in recommendation engine.
Incorporating mobile-friendly technology, Instants Plus™ is optimized to
be viewed on the web and was designed specifically with the use of
tablets in mind. New tickets will be added to the Michigan Lottery's
Instants Plus™ page each month, with the addition of a pull tabs
section that is expected to launch in May 2014.
"Pollard Banknote is pleased to collaborate with the Michigan Lottery to
launch Instants Plus™, the latest in our growing number of interactive
offerings," said Doug Pollard, Co-Chief Executive Officer, Pollard
Banknote. "This launch once again demonstrates the Lottery's innovative
spirit and its keen understanding of the importance of keeping up with
changing technology in order to keep players engaged. We look forward
to building on the momentum of this exceptional product and explore
ways in which Instants Plus™ can be tailored for use in other
jurisdictions."
"We are excited to once again partner with Pollard Banknote to offer our
players this unique new tool," said Tom Weber, Chief Deputy
Commissioner, Michigan Lottery. "The addition of Instants Plus™ to our
newly designed website will help generate the kind of informative
experience players have come to expect online, while still supporting
our retail network. It caters not only to our existing player base, but
will also help attract new demographics by giving players and potential
players a convenient, and readily available means to access a wealth of
information about lottery products."
Pollard Banknote and its predecessor companies have been the primary
instant ticket supplier to the Michigan Lottery since 1986. In fiscal
