MicroPower Technologies Receives Lenel Factory Certification Under Lenel's OpenAccess Alliance Program

MicroPower Technologies Inc., an award-winning provider of surveillance solutions optimized for rapid, cost-effective deployment, has received factory certification from Lenel Systems International and joined the Lenel OpenAccess Alliance Program (OAAP). As a result, MicroPower Technologies’ Helios surveillance solution now interfaces with Lenel’s OnGuard® access control system to allow the correlation of video surveillance and access control data. Lenel, a market leader in access control security, is a part of UTC Building & Industrial Systems, a unit of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX).

“MicroPower Technologies has completed the required factory testing at Lenel to validate the functionality of its interface to OnGuard. End users can now leverage the power of both solutions to build a security system that provides a comprehensive view of all video and access points within a facility and across its perimeter,” said Gidon Lissai, director of strategic alliances, Lenel. “We look forward to MicroPower’s continued involvement in the Lenel OpenAccess Alliance Program.”

“Today’s users require open systems that provide ease of use with other devices and incorporate powerful, best-in-class options for outdoor, perimeter protection,” said Dave Tynan, vice president of global sales and marketing, MicroPower Technologies. “By integrating the solar-powered, wireless functionality of Helios with Lenel’s OnGuard, we take another step toward meeting the complex security needs of our customers looking to combine access control data with comprehensive surveillance platforms.”

MicroPower Technologies delivers reliable and cost-effective wireless video surveillance solutions that create superior value for customers by reducing deployment and infrastructure costs. Its flagship solution, the Helios surveillance platform, is a wireless video security solution that does not require cabling for power or data transmission. This unique approach removes the restrictions found with traditional cameras and allows users to place cameras at the point of highest risk without the added complexity of trenching, or pulling for data or power cables.
