TORONTO, Feb. 12, 2014 /CNW/ - One bar. Ten single people. One extraordinary night. Just in time for Valentine's Day, CTV announced today that love is about to be served in the hilarious new romantic comedy MIXOLOGY, airing Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m. ET/PT following THE BIG BANG THEORY strip, beginning Feb. 26 on CTV and CTV GO. From the writers of The Hangover, the half-hour series follows the exploits of singles in search of love inside a sexy Manhattan bar - all over the course of one night. Among the mix of hot singles is Montreal-native Vanessa Lengies (GLEE), who plays a bubbly cocktail waitress.

With the addition of MIXOLOGY to CTV's mid-season schedule, THE TOMORROW PEOPLE moves to Mondays at 7 p.m. ET/PT, beginning March 17 on CTV Two and CTV GO. Also on CTV Two, ETALK and THE BIG BANG THEORY strip swap timeslots to 7 p.m. ET/PT (ETALK) and 7:30 p.m. ET/PT (THE BIG BANG THEORY) on Wednesday nights, beginning Feb. 26.

"MIXOLOGY is a really fun look at single people trying to find love in the city, and an innovative and original format for a comedy series," said Phil King, President - CTV, Sports, an‎d Entertainment Programming. "Viewers will recognize the exciting and sometimes awkward dance that comes with meeting a potential new partner, and hopefully enjoy the laughs (and missteps) along the way."

MIXOLOGY is set in Mix, a high-end bar in Manhattan's trendy meat-packing district. Recently dumped by his fiancée, Tom (Blake Lee, PARKS AND RECREATION) hasn't been out on the town in a decade. His best friends, handsome, confident Cal (Craig Frank, 8.13) and fast-talking Bruce (Andrew Santino, PUNK'D), are throwing Tom back into the dating pool whether he likes it or not. Tom's first encounter is with Maya (Ginger Gonzaga, LEGIT), an attorney who's as beautiful as she is brutal; before long, Tom is in tears.

Rounding out Mix's chic crowd is Maya's engaged-for-now friend, Liv (Kate Simses, What's Your Number); aggressive single mom Jessica (Alexis Carra, Incredible Girl); Jessica's gorgeous and chic frenemy Fabienne (Frankie Shaw, BLUE MOUNTAIN STATE); bubbly cocktail waitress Kacey (Lengies); dark, mysterious bartender Dominic (Adan Canto, THE FOLLOWING); and failed internet entrepreneur Ron (Adam Campbell, Epic Movie), who's having the worst night of his life.

MIXOLOGY was written by Jon Lucas and Scott Moore (The Hangover, 21 and Over), and is executive-produced by Lucas, Moore, Ryan Seacrest, Nina Wass, Adam Sher and Ira Ungerleider. The pilot was directed by Larry Charles (SEINFELD, ENTOURAGE, Borat), and is produced by ABC Studios.
