Neonode(R) Hires Semiconductor Industry Veteran as Global Head of Commercial Sales

SANTA CLARA, Calif., Feb. 24, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Neonode Inc., (Nasdaq:NEON), the optical touch technology company, today announced that it has hired Bengt Edlund as Vice President of Global Sales.

Mr. Edlund has over 30 years of semiconductor sales and marketing experience from his time at Hewlett-Packard and National Semiconductor. More recently, Mr. Edlund served as the Managing Director of National Semiconductor in Sweden for 20 years, managing global sales and support for large European accounts worldwide, across a wide array of technology sectors. Mr. Edlund also served as NSM's Director of European Marketing for System Products and Business Development for Key Market Segments. Mr. Edlund's end market coverage included mobile communication, consumer electronics, automotive, solar energy, battery management systems and LED lighting.

At Neonode, Mr. Edlund will spearhead the Commercial Sales Team into new sectors such as wearables, mobile computing, peripherals, printing, gaming and Windows/Chrome PC/notebooks/monitors by leveraging his global account knowledge and decades of electronics experience.
