Olympic medallists surprise next generation Canadian athletes with a
visit to their skating practice
TORONTO, Feb. 28, 2014 /CNW/ - RBC Olympians will celebrate their return
from Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games with a class of third and fourth
graders from Twentieth Street Junior School. Students think they are
gearing up for their final RBC Learn to Skate lesson, but what they
don't know is that their lesson will be led by Patrick Chan and
Caroline Ouellette.
"I have spent my life on the ice and figure skating has shaped who I am
today," said Patrick Chan, double-Olympic silver medallist, figure
skater and RBC Olympian. "I remember how intimidating skating seemed
when I first started, which is why I am so proud RBC is committed to
inspiring the next generation of athletes. I can't wait to surprise the
class."
