Popular Webinar on OSHA's GHS Adoption Now Available On-Demand From MSDSonline

CHICAGO, March 12, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- MSDSonline, the industry thought leader on OSHA's adoption of GHS, announced today that a recording of its popular "GHS Adoption by OSHA, What You Need to Do Now" webinar is available to safety professionals to watch on-demand and at no cost. OSHA's revision of its Hazard Communication Standard to align with GHS is one of the most important rule changes the agency has made in recent years. Unfortunately, many stakeholders affected by the update are lagging behind in compliance. MSDSonline has taken a leadership position in the industry through speaking events, live workshops and webinars to help get EH&S professionals and their employees up to speed on the important changes.

The webinar, which serves as an introduction to GHS compliance requirements, was originally offered as a bi-weekly event and has been attended by thousands of safety professionals over the last two years. The presentation was previously only available as a live webinar given the rapidly evolving nature of the new HazCom Standard. However, now that the core elements of the regulation have been established, MSDSonline has recorded its presentation and made it available on-demand to give even more safety professionals access to the critical information at a time convenient to the viewer.

"Our introductory GHS Webinar draws from the same material we used to present on GHS at regional and national safety conferences for ASSE, NSC and VPPPA," said Glenn Trout, president and CEO of MSDSonline. "Worked into the presentation are the answers to the most frequently asked questions we've received on GHS, including questions about labels and safety data sheets, and it provides, we think, the best introduction to OSHA's HazCom 2012 that's available."

The webinar is available on MSDSonline's blog, www.MSDSonline.com/blog along with other GHS related resources. MSDSonline has additional webinars available on GHS and other environmental, health and safety topics including OSHA Recordkeeping, advanced GHS topics, and sustainability.

Trout added, "We're proud to be a go-to resource for the safety community to get educated on the most important issues happening in safety and with OSHA. This webinar in particular has received wonderful feedback, with many stating it is the most useful webinar they have attended. If that's true, it's because we've learned from listening to our customers and getting a sense for the information they need most."
