TORONTO, March 20, 2014 /CNW/ - CTV and The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS) announced today that six-time JUNO Award winners Arcade Fire, rockers OneRepublic, and eight-time JUNO Award winner Sarah McLachlan, are the latest performers confirmed for CTV's broadcast of THE 2014 JUNO AWARDS, March 30.

Leading the 2014 JUNO Award nominations with six, including Album of the Year, Arcade Fire, unable to attend THE 2014 JUNO AWARDS due to touring commitments, take part in broadcast via a taped performance. The world premiere, exclusive performance - dedicated by the band to the JUNO Awards - will be a one-of-a-kind recorded experience for viewers of Canada's biggest night in music.

Rockers OneRepublic make their JUNO Awards debut this year with what is bound to be an exhilarating performance of their latest hit single, "Counting Stars." At five-times platinum, "Counting Stars" is the highest-selling single for the band ever in Canada.

McLachlan, who has performed at the JUNO Awards seven times, returns to the JUNO stage with the Canadian television debut performance of "Beautiful Girl" from her upcoming album, Shine On. It was previously announced that McLachlan would appear as a special presenter for MusiCounts, Canada's music education charity, associated with CARAS. McLachlan will be speaking about the extensive work MusiCounts is doing in 2014 that will help keep music alive for Canadian youth and put instruments into the hands of children who need it most.

Arcade Fire, OneRepublic, and Sarah McLachlan join previously announced performers Brett Kissel, Classified, Dean Brody, Gord Bamford, Matt Mays, Robin Thicke, Serena Ryder, The Sheepdogs, Tegan and Sara, and Walk Off The Earth. Co-hosted by Classified, Johnny Reid, and Serena Ryder, THE 2014 JUNO AWARDS air live, Sunday March 30 on CTV and CTV GO at 8 p.m. CT/9 p.m. ET (check local listings to confirm broadcast times and stations). Additional announcements regarding the broadcast will be made next week.
