EXO U expands it's offering in Panama with additional deployments of immersive digital classrooms

V.CSTR

MONTREAL, March 27, 2014 /CNW Telbec/ - EXO U Inc. (TSX-V: EXO), a provider of an innovative software suite that enables businesses and educational institutions to securely manage their mobile workforces and students by delivering ubiquitous applications spanning desktop and mobile computing environments, announced today an expansion of its ongoing relationship with the Panamanian government. Specifically, EXO U will be providing its digital classroom solution to three additional entities within the Government of Panama:

  • Secretaria Nacional de Ciencia, Tecnología e Innovación ("SENACYT");
  • Institute for Scientific Research and Technology Services ("INDICASAT"); and
  • University of Panama.

EXO U's digital classroom solution consist of EXOdesks, table-sized, interactive touchscreen devices, for both students and teacher. The devices run the EXO UI that enables users to access educational content and share this information seamlessly with Apple iOS and Mac OS, Android, Linux, and Windows devices within the classroom environment.

This order builds upon EXO U's previous sale of an earlier digital classroom offering to SENACYT as well as the ongoing deployment of EXO U's universal application framework to 100,000 students in Panama. This additional expansion will allow these organizations to continue to develop and deploy tailored applications for their students based upon user-generated content and real-time feedback from both students and teachers.

"We are pleased to be able to provide these additional entire digital classrooms to Panama" said Shan Ahdoot, EXO U's CEO. "We are gratified that Panama is satisfied with our solution and continues to build its capabilities in digital education utilizing the EXO U framework."
