SEATTLE, March 31, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Colliers International today announced that commercial real estate veteran Craig M. Robinson will take the reins as president of Colliers' U.S. operations, a newly created position. Robinson will report to Colliers' Chief Executive Officer | Americas, Dylan Taylor, managing all aspects of day-to-day U.S. business for the commercial real estate services firm, including operations, strategic initiatives, and business development.
"Craig Robinson will be a key asset to our growing leadership team," said Taylor. "His strong experience in corporate services, equity investments, and government and public-sector occupier services—as well as his banking and consulting experience—gives him the breadth and depth of knowledge necessary to lead our U.S. business. Craig will make a wonderful addition to our enterprising team."
Prior to joining Colliers, Robinson was president of corporate services at a national real estate services firm, where he was responsible for all corporate services business development, account operations and strategic planning. He also served on that firm's executive committee and its board of directors.
Robinson's commercial real estate career also includes structuring and managing more than $350 million in equity real estate investments for AIG Global Real Estate. During his time with AIG, Robinson's primary focus was Atlantic Station, a $3 billion, mixed-use development project in Midtown Atlanta. Prior to AIG, as a member of Trammell Crow's leadership team, he co-led the launch of its Government and Public Sector practice group and provided strategic consulting services to an array of occupier clients. And finally, before entering the commercial real estate field, he worked for Arthur Andersen Business Consulting in Europe and Goldman Sachs in New York.
Robinson serves on a number of boards focused on global commercial real estate, economic development and disadvantaged youth. His current board affiliations include CoreNet Global Board of Directors, the Harvard Real Estate Academic Initiative Alumni Advisory Board, Coro New York Leadership Center Board (executive committee) and, until recently, served on the executive committee of Atlanta's Historic District Development Corporation. Within the commercial real estate sector, Robinson also serves as a regular panelist and speaker at ULI, CoreNet, NAIOP and SIOR and is a contributor to CoreNet's Leader magazine.
He holds a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School and earned his Bachelor of Science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
