EPA Awards Ecova with 2014 ENERGY STAR® Partner of the Year - Sustained Excellence Award

AVA

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has recognized Ecova, a total energy and sustainability management company, with a 2014 ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year - Sustained Excellence Award for their continued leadership in protecting our environment through superior energy efficiency. Ecova’s accomplishments will be recognized in Washington, D.C., on April 29, 2014.

An ENERGY STAR partner since 2005, Ecova will be honored for its long-term commitment to energy efficiency. Ecova is in an elite group of only 10 companies that have been recognized by the EPA at least 10 times.

Ecova and ENERGY STAR share a common mission and have forged a solid partnership that has proven to be a great asset to building owners. Leveraging its Facility Optimization offering and Energy Data Warehouse, Ecova currently benchmarks more than 46,000 buildings monthly in ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager. Ecova’s client base and resources, combined with ENERGY STAR’s benchmarking capability, create a powerful tool for energy management.

“Ecova is honored to receive continued recognition from ENERGY STAR,” said Jeff Heggedahl, CEO, Ecova. “We are committed to our partnership with ENERGY STAR, and dedicated to increasing energy efficiency throughout our commercial and industrial client base, which helps reduce greenhouse gas emissions and protect the environment.”

Across the U.S., top companies and organizations are leading the way toward a more energy-efficient future through their participation in ENERGY STAR.

Through 2013, with help from ENERGY STAR, American families and businesses have saved $297 billion on utility bills and prevented more than 2.1 billion metric tons of greenhouse gas emissions.

“Ecova has earned EPA’s highest ENERGY STAR award – the 2014 Partner of the Year - Sustained Excellence Award – because of their unwavering commitment to helping consumers become increasingly more energy efficient,” said EPA Deputy Administrator Bob Perciasepe.

The 2014 Partner of the Year - Sustained Excellence Awards are given to a variety of organizations to recognize their contributions to reducing greenhouse gas emissions through superior energy efficiency. These winners have reduced greenhouse gas emissions by setting and achieving aggressive goals, and employing innovative energy efficiency approaches. These awards recognize ongoing leadership across the ENERGY STAR program, including energy-efficient products, services, new homes, and buildings in the commercial, industrial, and public sectors. Award winners are selected from the 16,000 organizations that participate in the ENERGY STAR program.
