TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - April 14, 2014) -
NOT FOR DISTRIBUTION TO UNITED STATES NEWSWIRE SERVICES OR FOR DISSEMINATION IN THE UNITED STATES
Sherritt International Corporation ("Sherritt") (TSX:S) announced today that it has published and is in the process of mailing a letter to shareholders. The letter can be viewed and downloaded by going to http://www.sherritt.com/Proxy-Contest.
The letter contains important information regarding positive momentum at Sherritt and the Board's multiple attempts to reach a settlement. It also discusses how at no time did Sherritt commit to put Mr. Armoyan on its Board, and that a third party in question has confirmed to Sherritt, in writing, that from its perspective Sherritt made no such offer.
Sherritt also exposes Mr. Armoyan's true business history - only some of which can be found in the fine print at the back of Clarke's dissident circular - along with other critical omissions and distortions in regards to Sherritt.
Shareholders are urged to review the letter and then vote only your BLUE proxy today.
