ACI Wordwide's Electronic Bill Pay Transforms Property Tax Collection for Arizona's Maricopa County

ACIW

ACI Worldwide (NASDAQ: ACIW), a leading international provider of electronic payment and banking systems, today announced that Maricopa County (AZ) is utilizing its electronic payment solution to make it convenient for residents to pay their property taxes.

ACI’s flexible bill pay technology provides Maricopa County residents with the option of paying taxes online via debit card, credit card, electronic check or at point of sale (POS) stations at the County Treasurer’s office. With the County’s delinquent property tax due date approaching (on May 1), residents have a fast, easy and secure way to pay.

“Property owners have enough stress and want to avoid being delinquent on paying taxes. Local governments realize this and want to make tax payments as convenient as possible, which is why they’re utilizing bill pay from ACI,” said Eric Labiak, Senior Vice President, ACI Worldwide. “Our bill payment solutions make it quick, easy and secure for faster payments, whether paying online via ACI’s consumer payments website, www.OfficialPayments.com, http://treasurer.maricopa.gov/ or at POS stations.”

Bill payments that can be made through ACI’s Official Payments website include the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), 23 state governments, the District of Columbia, more than 3,000 local municipalities and counties across all 50 states, 350 colleges and universities, and 450 utility companies. Consumers can pay federal, state and local property taxes and other bills such as utilities and college tuition with credit cards, debit cards, electronic checks and alternative payment methods via mobile, online (www.OfficialPayments.com), telephone, point of sale and other channels.
