SUNNYVALE, CA--(Marketwired - Apr 21, 2014) - QuickLogic Corporation (NASDAQ: QUIK), the innovator in low-power Customer Specific Standard Products (CSSPs), today announced that its CTO, Dr. Timothy Saxe, will present "Combining Hardware Co-processing with Software to Solve the Always-on Power Problem," at the Linley Tech Mobile Conference on April 30 in Santa Clara. This two-day conference focuses on system design issues.
A truly "smart" phone can understand you and your environment through sophisticated signal processing algorithms. However, its strict power budget precludes using the AP or even a small MCU for the required signal processing. Dr. Saxe will discuss how QuickLogic solves this design dilemma by using a hybrid software/hardware approach. Attendees will learn how the CPU can manage the control functions and the hardware co-processors can manage the repetitive tasks to deliver a high level of capability with very low power consumption.
The QuickLogic presentation will be given during Session 3 of the conference, which is focused on delivering always-on capability.
Location: The Hyatt Regency Santa Clara, 5101 Great America Parkway, Santa Clara
Time: Wednesday, April 30, Session 3 from 2:50-4:30 p.m., PDT
