City of Greenville, N.C., Chooses Tyler Technologies' ERP Solution

TYL

Tyler Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: TYL) has signed a contract with the city of Greenville, N.C., for Tyler’s Munis® enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution. The agreement includes software licenses, training, related professional services and support.

Munis replaces Greenville’s 22-year-old financial system that lacks integrated functionality. The non-integrated approach has led to duplication of data and increasingly disparate databases that reduced reporting capabilities. To find a modern and integrated ERP software system, the city formed a search committee composed of employees from a variety of departments. The committee was charged with selecting a system whose integration would eliminate the need for redundant systems and data stores.

After evaluating several systems, the city chose multiple Munis applications, including financial management and human capital management. The city also will implement Tyler Content Manager, which is completely integrated with Munis.

“Tyler’s Munis is a robust and user-friendly system that will serve the city well. Munis offers the best value and is the best solution to meet the needs of the city now and into the future,” said Bernita Demery, director of financial services for the city of Greenville. “During our search for a new ERP solution we found a number of peer government organizations that have implemented Munis with favorable results. We also value that Tyler is a financially sound business partner with a track record of innovative product developments.”

Greenville also selected Tyler because its consulting services will help establish best business practices, as well as improve accountability and efficiency across all functions. Additionally, because Munis includes real-time dashboards and key performance reporting, city leaders will be able to leverage business analytics to help drive decision making.

“We welcome Greenville to the large community of Munis clients in North Carolina. As a fully integrated solution, Munis will reduce the number of systems Greenville owns and the related costs to maintain those systems,” said Chris Hepburn, senior vice president of Tyler’s ERP & School Division. “Tyler is proud to provide our Munis solution and business process consulting services to help optimally serve the city’s constituents.”

Greenville is North Carolina’s 10th most populated city and is a major industrial and economic center for the north central coastal plains region of eastern North Carolina.
