SUNNYVALE, CA--(Marketwired - May 6, 2014) - QuickLogic Corporation (NASDAQ: QUIK)
- ArcticLink III BX6 provides display bridging and duplication
- Enables use of embedded pico projector in smartphone
QuickLogic Corporation (NASDAQ: QUIK), the innovator in low-power Customer Specific Standard Products (CSSPs), today announced that the company's ArcticLink® III BX6 display bridge solution has been designed into the new Samsung Galaxy Beam 2. The ArcticLink III BX solution platform provides display bridging functionality that enables the use of the phone's embedded pico projector.
The ArcticLink III BX6 allows the single display interface signal from the applications processor to be duplicated and bridged to drive both the embedded display and the on-board pico projector. "One challenge of embedding pico projectors into smartphones is the lack of processor support for both a display and a pico projector," said Paul Karazuba, senior product marketing and media manager at QuickLogic
The Galaxy Beam 2 was introduced in China during April.
