CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwired - May 12, 2014) - Big Rock Brewery Inc. ("Big Rock") (TSX:BR) is excited to announce its second Brewmaster's Edition release of 2014, Rhine Stone Cowboy Kölsch Style Ale.
Rhine Stone Cowboy is our take on a celebrated laureate of Cologne. When the Czechs laid the Pilsner upon the table, the Germans concocted the Kölsch to match the bet. Brewmaster Paul Gautreau combined German Hallertau hops with Alberta-grown pale and Vienna malts - a righteous ale to its soul but mellowed to near freezing like a lager. Paul explains, "Rhine Stone Cowboy is an ale that wants to be a lager. We used a special Kölsch ale yeast fermented at lager temperatures and left it to mature for months. It is light and delicate with a subtle fruity character."
If you want to know where you can find Rhine Stone Cowboy, or try it on tap, you can follow us on Twitter and Facebook for all of the latest updates. Rhine Stone Cowboy is available in BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba while quantities last.
