The Heidel House is a 190-room full-service resort and spa nestled on 20
wooded acres on the shore of beautiful Green Lake near Ripon, Wis. First
welcoming guests as an estate dining room in 1945, the family-run
retreat expanded as its reputation for hospitality and fine dining grew.
Today, Heidel House Resort offers numerous amenities including 18,000
square-feet of meeting and event space, an award-winning luxury spa and
three restaurants including Grey Rock, which has been named one of
Wisconsin’s Top 25 Restaurants and has received the Wine Spectator Award
every year since 2002.
“Heidel House Resort is only six miles from Ripon, Wis., where The
Marcus Corporation began 79 years ago with the opening of the Campus
Cinema in 1935. We have been committed to the area for many years and
welcome this opportunity to bring our tradition of hospitality
excellence and high-quality service and amenities to this distinctive
property,” said Thomas F. Kissinger, interim president, Marcus Hotels &
Resorts and senior executive vice president, The Marcus Corporation.
“We are pleased to work with Marcus Hotels & Resorts in managing this
full-service resort,” said Dave Kruger, president of the Fiore
Companies. “Marcus Hotels & Resorts’ strong Wisconsin roots make the
company an ideal partner in maintaining the position of Heidel House as
a leading Midwestern year-round destination.”
The Heidel House, on the shores of Green Lake, is approximately a 75
minute drive from Madison and 90 minute drive from Milwaukee, and is
located just a few miles west of Lake Winnebago. In addition to its
restaurants, meeting space and spa, other features include two lounges,
a stand-alone ice cream parlor, the elegant Dartford ballroom
accommodating up to 380 guests, a Carriage Tent event space for outdoor
weddings and social events, indoor and outdoor pools, fitness center,
tranquil beach and lakefront, and nearby golf courses. The resort also
has a 60-foot yacht, available for daily excursions on the lake,
cocktail cruises, private dinners and receptions.
Known as a year-round destination, Heidel House Resort offers a boat
rental and water sports area, hiking and biking trails and a variety of
seasonal waterfront activities in summer. Winter activities include
cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and ice skating.
In 2013, the resort was voted Best Wisconsin Lakeshore Resort by meeting
planners in the Best of Wisconsin Meetings awards.
