VANCOUVER, May 16, 2014 /CNW/ - Clara Hughes, Canada's 6-time Olympian and the nation's flag bearer for the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympic Games, brings her Big Ride for Bell Let's Talk to Vancouver tomorrow Saturday May 17.

Tomorrow morning, Day 65 of her 110-day journey around Canada by bike, Clara will ride into Vancouver, arriving at Jack Poole Plaza, 1055 Canada Place, at about 1:45 pm.

Festivities get under way at 1 pm with emcee, comedian and mental health activist Kevin Breel, special guests Vancouver Whitecaps President Bob Lenarduzzi, Councillor Raymond Louie, Ride Don't Hide's Michael Schratter, and the ShowStoppers youth choir. Vancouver Whitecaps FC players Omar Salgado, Sam Adekugbe and Nicolas Mezquida will be signing autographs.

"I can't wait to be back in Vancouver! I have so many happy memories from the Winter Games and the wonderful, vibrant people of such a great and beautiful city," said Clara. "I'm really looking forward to seeing old friends and meeting so many new people. Everyone is welcome to come out and have a great time, join in the mental health conversation and help create a Canada free of the stigma around mental illness!"

While in Vancouver, Clara will also attend The Kettle Making a Difference – An Evening with Olympian Clara Hughes and Friends, an event to raise funds for The Kettle Society community mental health programs. For more information, please visit thekettle.ca.
