BRUSSELS, May 22, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Lenaik Andrieux, Caterpillar General Manager of Electric Power Retail in Geneva, Switzerland, has been appointed President of EUROPGEN, the European Generating Set Association. He will begin his three-year term in June 2014.
Andrieux has extensive industry experience in the electrical and generator set industry, including the 13 years with Caterpillar Electric Power. Prior to joining Caterpillar in 2001, he spent three years with Kohler/SDMO.

Andrieux's main focus for his presidency will include furthering the objectives of EUROPGEN, which are:
a) Promoting the interests of the European engine-driven generating set industry in its relations with customers, suppliers, EU regulatory authorities and government organisations.
b) Negotiating and liaising with European institutions and appropriate associations and organisations involved in the engine driven generating set industry.
c) Facilitating the agreement of European and International Standards for engine-driven generator set products and related services.
d) Ensuring the highest standards for the engine-driven generator set industry's products and services and to provide a forum for the exchange of non-competitive information.
