ViON
Corporation, a market leader in the design, delivery and maintenance
of mission critical IT infrastructure solutions, today announced the
expansion of its executive leadership team to include a new Director of
Capture Management, Vice President of Capacity Services and Vice
President of Marketing. The new appointments are intended to fuel the
expansion of ViON’s portfolio of Federal, public sector and commercial
clients, broaden the Company’s enterprise technology offerings, and
develop and strengthen strategic partnerships with leading OEMs such as
NetApp, EMC, Cisco and Hitachi. The leadership team expansion also
corresponds with a new branding effort ViON launched in early May.
“The caliber of these new appointments speaks volumes about the
reputation that ViON has built up over the last two decades,” said Tom
Frana, President and CEO of ViON. “The fact that we are able to draw
such elite candidates, in a time of genuine competition for such talent,
is an indication of how well ViON is positioned for near-term and
long-term success.”
For the role of Director of Capture Management, ViON has appointed Dan
Hunter. Mr. Hunter will work to mature ViON’s business processes and
capabilities around acquiring and managing government contracts. Prior
to ViON, Hunter served as Senior Director of Business Development and
Capture at General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) (NYSE: GD). A
member of the AFCEA, Hunter has also worked for Terremark Federal Group
and IMOBIX during his nearly two decades in the IT industry.
ViON has appointed Rob Davies as the new Vice President of Capacity
Services. Mr. Davies will leverage his professional expertise and ViON’s
well-known success in this sector to enhance the Company’s capacity
programs. ViON’s capacity services allow Federal, public sector and
commercial customers to readily access secure compute, network and
storage infrastructure via ViON as an out-sourced IT infrastructure
solution, or for enhancing the elasticity of current IT environments.
Prior to his new position at ViON, Davies worked for two decades in
support of information technology for the U.S. Federal government and
commercial businesses, most recently as COO and then CEO and President
of Base Technologies before its acquisition by Computer Associates (CA).
His specialty is managing day-to-day operations, while directing large
enterprise environments and providing support for international and
domestic programs. Davies was a finalist in the 2012 GOVstar SmartCEO
awards.
For the role of Vice President of Marketing, ViON has appointed Liz
Anthony, who has more than 20 years’ experience implementing marketing
plans and strategic communications programs in the technology industry.
Ms. Anthony will focus her efforts on taking ViON to the next growth
level by increasing its brand visibility, developing new strategic
partnerships and expanding ViON’s client base beyond its traditional
government focus to include large commercial customers in need of
enterprise-class infrastructure solutions. Prior to joining ViON,
Anthony served as Senior Manager at Cisco (NASDAQ: CSCO) and NetApp
(NASDAQ: NTAP), where she was responsible for the U.S. Public Sector
strategy, developing integrated programs with key value added resellers
(VARs) and systems integrators (SIs) and managing key partnerships with
companies like General Dynamics, SAP and Virtustream. She is a member of
Women In Technology and AFCEA.
