W. R. Berkley Corporation (NYSE:WRB) today announced the
appointment of John M. Goodwin as president of Berkley Risk
Administrators Company, LLC (Berkley Risk). Mr. Goodwin succeeds J.
Michael Foley, who has been named chairman of Berkley Risk. The
appointments are effective immediately.
Berkley Risk is a national provider of alternative risk management
services that designs, implements and manages a wide variety of programs
to help its customers control their total cost of risk.
Mr. Goodwin has more than 25 years of experience in the property
casualty insurance industry in a broad range of commercial specialty
products and services. Most recently, he served as executive vice
president of Berkley Risk, having joined the company in January 2012
after leading significant business units at other large property
casualty insurers. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics
from the University of Cincinnati and is a former member of the
education committee of the Professional Liability Underwriting Society
(PLUS).
