CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwired - June 10, 2014) - Maple Leaf Green World (TSX VENTURE:MGW) ("Maple Leaf" or the "Company") announces the Company has retained Aslan Ross Consulting Inc. and its principal, Mr. Ivan Ross Vrána, as advisor to assist the Company in becoming a Licensed Producer under Canada's Marihuana for Medical Purposes Regulations ("MMPR") and establishing its related operations.
In 2008, Mr. Vrána worked with Health Canada leading the policy team that developed the MMPR program that replaced the prior MMAR program. In 2012, he left Health Canada to start Aslan Ross Consulting, which helps organizations formulate plans and interacts with the Canadian government.
Mr. Vrána will consult to the Company in connection with its proposed MMPR application; provide insights and advice about strategy; develop communication strategies; interact with government officials; provide intelligence regarding the state of the application with Health Canada; and provide general information about the state of the MMPR in Canada, particularly given the recent court actions and uncertainties.
