Fujitsu Acquires Shares of Panasonic Information Technology Solutions

Begins providing information system outsourcing services to Panasonic Group

Tokyo, July 1, 2014 - (JCN Newswire) - Fujitsu Limited and Panasonic Corporation today announced that Fujitsu has completed the acquisition of all shares of Panasonic Information Technology Solutions Co., Ltd., which had been a Panasonic subsidiary specializing in information systems.

As of today, Panasonic Information Technology Solutions' name has been changed to Fujitsu IT Management Partner Co., Ltd., which has now begun to provide outsourcing services relating to the operation, maintenance and development of ICT systems to Panasonic and its group companies (the Panasonic Group).

Leveraging its know-how in the construction, operation, and maintenance of an array of information systems, Fujitsu has been proposing services to support innovative ICT for customers and its ICT-related affiliates. Now, with its acquisition of all Panasonic Information Technology Solutions' shares, Fujitsu will support Panasonic's strategic use of ICT systems by offering high quality and efficient ICT services, which formerly had been provided to the Panasonic Group by Panasonic Information Technology Solutions, based on its expertise in streamlining and the nurturing of human resources.

For its part, Panasonic aims to use Fujitsu expertise to thoroughly raise efficiencies and further improve the quality, cost, and delivery (QCD) of the construction, operation and maintenance of information systems within the Panasonic Group.
