Gursahaney is the president and chief executive officer, and a member of the board of directors, of The ADT Corporation, a leading provider of electronic security, interactive home and business automation and monitoring services for residences and small businesses in North America. Prior to ADT's separation from Tyco in September 2012, he served as president of Tyco's ADT North American Residential business segment and was previously president of Tyco Security Solutions, then the world's largest electronic security provider to residential, commercial, industrial and governmental customers and the largest operating segment of Tyco. Gursahaney joined Tyco in 2003 as senior vice president of operational excellence. He then served as president of Tyco Engineered Products and Services and its Flow Control business.
Prior to joining Tyco, Gursahaney spent 10 years in leadership roles at General Electric, including general management, marketing, business development and information technology. He was president of GE Medical Systems Asia, chief information officer of GE Medical Systems and vice president of service for GE Medical Systems Asia. Before GE, he served with global consulting firm Booz Allen & Hamilton and began his career as an engineer with Westinghouse Electric in the U.S. and Israel.
Gursahaney holds a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from Penn State University and an MBA in general management from the University of Virginia's Darden School of Business Administration. He serves on several Penn State advisory boards and was honored in 2009 with the Outstanding Engineering Alumni Award from the College of Engineering.
