FGL Sports Voluntarily Recalls Capix Evo and Capix Jr Evo Bike and Skateboard Helmets

CALGARY, July 30, 2014 /CNW/ - FGL Sports is voluntarily recalling the Capix Evo and Capix Jr Evo Bike and Skateboard Helmets as a precautionary measure due to a potential safety concern. The Company has learned that a manufacturing defect may cause cracks to appear near the rivets securing the helmet's chinstrap, posing a potential safety hazard to users.

FGL Sports is the exclusive retailer of Capix Evo and Capix Jr Evo Bike and Skateboard Helmets and affected units were sold at stores nationally between January 2014 and June 2014.

Customers are asked to discontinue using the Capix Evo and Capix Jr Evo Bike and Skateboard Helmets immediately and return it to any Sport Chek, Sports Experts, Intersport or S3 store for a refund or an exchange.
