NAPLES, Fla., July 31, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The Hertz Corporation (NYSE: HTZ) continues to add to its neighborhood market network with the opening of another 17 Hertz Local Edition locations in 13 states (listed below). These new locations are in addition to the approximately 80 neighborhood locations opened since January 2014, and more than 2,900 locations currently open across the U.S. The openings are part of a company-wide strategy to accelerate expansion in the off-airport, neighborhood car rental market servicing the replacement, leisure and business customers.

Located in convenient, easy-to-reach locations, the openings provide Hertz customers with a full range of rental vehicles including compact through full-size cars and SUVs, and offers special weekend rates. Rentals are also eligible to earn Hertz Gold Plus Rewards points, the company's customer loyalty program that has a wide range of flexible reward options. Rewards include points that never expire, "Any Day" rewards that have no blackout periods, easy only redemption, and a wide variety of car rewards. Pickup and delivery service and direct billing to insurance companies are also available. In addition, as with all hertz corporate locations, vehicles are available for rental with unlimited mileage and all rate structures are honored, including one-way, inter-city rates.
