Agencies and Individuals Recognized for Progress on Diversity and Inclusion
New York, NY - August 5, 2014 - On Tuesday, August 5, Interpublic Group (NYSE: IPG) is hosting the IPG Inclusion Awards program in New York City. The event, sponsored by the IPG Multicultural Employee Resource Groups for Excellence (MERGE), will honor agencies and employees from IPG's U.S. network who have shown leadership in advancing IPG's goal of being one of the world's most diverse and inclusive companies.
Interpublic agencies and employees were asked to submit nominations in eight award categories. Nominations were reviewed by MERGE participants throughout the US network who selected the following IPG Inclusion Award recipients:
- Community Partnership Award - Jack Morton
- Inclusive Talent Cultivation - Weber Shandwick
- Inclusive Marketing Initiative of the Year - McCann New York
- Communication and Education Initiative - MRM//McCann Detroit
- Most Inclusive Climate Award - Orion Holdings
- Individual Champion of Inclusion - Dayana Falcon, Global Marketing and Partnerships Manager, BPN
- Agency Champion of Inclusion - Carmichael Lynch
- Chief Diversity Officer/Human Resources Leader of the Year - Ed Huerta-Margotta, Director, Talent Acquisition, Carmichael Lynch
Actress, activist and standup comedian Maysoon Zayid will serve as the Master of Ceremonies and host. The awards program will also include remarks from IPG executives, including Chairman and CEO Michael Roth, Chief Financial Officer Frank Mergenthaler, and Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer Heide Gardner. Hundreds of Interpublic agency and corporate employees are expected to attend the live event in New York with hundreds more viewing the webcast in Chicago, Detroit, Downers Grove, Minneapolis, Norwalk, Parsippany, Princeton, Salt Lake City, San Francisco, and Washington DC.
