Renowned health system adds Halogen 1:1 Exchange and Halogen Myers-Briggs Modules to improve manager – employee relationships
OTTAWA, Aug. 13, 2014 /CNW/ - Children's Miracle Network Hospitals® has selected the Halogen Myers-Briggs® and Halogen 1:1 Exchange™ modules to support a workforce culture of communication, coaching, teamwork and understanding. Having already deployed several Halogen TalentSpace™ offerings to manage performance, job descriptions, learning and succession planning, the charity is using these additional solutions to further support its talent strategy of building an aligned and engaged team, committed to saving and improving kids' lives.
This nonprofit organization, which has raised more than $5 billion for 170 member children's hospitals across North America, sees these additional solutions as a way to entrench core values like teamwork and open communication and to support the connection of its employees to its mission.
"At Children's Miracle Network Hospitals we have an amazing culture — we believe in open communication and teamwork, and because we work with multiple hospitals and individuals, it's important that our people have great communication skills," says Joyce Smith, manager, human resources at Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. "With Halogen Myers-Briggs our employees can better understand one another's communication preferences and get simple guidance on how to interact more effectively with one another."
Smith believes Halogen's 1:1 Exchange solution makes ongoing performance management a reality at the organization and can strengthen manager-employee relationships.
"Halogen 1:1 Exchange is a natural fit in terms of making performance management more powerful for managers and employees. If they're discussing feedback, goals, development, they're going to have a helpful record of this dialogue via meeting minutes in the system. When it comes time for the performance review, our managers can look back at meeting information, review what was shared and can track performance shifts over time. This supports our managers in being even more effective in this aspect of leadership, and our employees in getting the regular ongoing feedback and development conversations to improve their performance."
