Intellicheck Mobilisa Wins $195K Contract to Upgrade and Expand Defense ID® System at Fort Leonard Wood Army Base

IDN

Intellicheck Mobilisa, Inc. (NYSE MKT:IDN), a global leader in identity solutions and wireless security systems, was awarded a $195K contract from the U.S. Army at Fort Leonard Wood in Missouri to upgrade the current Defense ID® system and provide additional IM2610 handheld identification card readers. The readers will provide identification card authentication for visitors who utilize vehicle lanes at the facility entrance as well as allow National Crime Information Center (NCIC) queries if desired. Work on the project was recently completed.

In 2010, the Company won a contract from the U.S. Army at Fort Leonard Wood to provide the facility with Defense ID® access control equipment. The current contract adds to the number of handheld readers at the Fort as well as upgrades the current system. Fort Leonard Wood is home to the Maneuver Support Center of Excellence, which offers Basic Combat Training for most non-combat soldiers. Due to its location in the Ozark Mountains, the base experiences harsh weather conditions in the summer and winter months, providing field training with extremes in heat, cold, wet and dry weather in rugged terrain. In addition, the base is also home to the US Army Military Police School (USAMPS), training our nation’s soldiers to be strong Military Police leaders. USAMPS is the premier training facility for the Army Military Police, preparing soldiers to perform their MP and law enforcement duties worldwide.

Dr. Nelson Ludlow, President and CEO of Intellicheck Mobilisa, said, “Fort Leonard Wood is one of our nation’s premier training facilities, and we recognize the importance of securing their facility to protect our troops and their families. Their ongoing trust in our technology reflects our ability to fulfill this goal. To date, our Defense ID system has been purchased by a range of military installations and we continue to work with other Army installations, ports and other branches of the military looking to deploy our access control systems.”
